Ohio State DE Chase Young Will Reportedly Skip Drills at 2020 NFL Combine

If you were getting ready to watch Chase Young throw up 225 pounds on the bench and fly down the field in the 40-yard dash, we've got some bad news for you. It's not going to happen.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Ohio State standout will not participate in any of the drills over in Indianapolis this week.
Ohio St defensive end Chase Young, the top prospect in @MoveTheSticks’ Top 50, is not planning to take part in drills for the NFL Scouting Combine this week, source says. He will be here for interviews and medicals, though.

Well, that's kind of a bummer. However, you can't blame Young at all for this decision. Players head to the Combine each season in hopes of raising their NFL Draft stock. Young really can't do that, no matter what his numbers display.
He feels like an absolute lock to get taken No. 2 overall behind Joe Burrow, who has "No. 1 pick to the Cincinnati Bengals" written all over him.

Yup, Young already looks ready to feast on quarterbacks next season. Despite not going through on-field work, he'll still meet with teams in Indy and win them over that way.
Come NFL Draft night, this kid won't have to wait long to hear his name called. He's just that good.
