VIDEO: Ohio State's Jeff Okudah Brilliantly Shuts Down 'Sloppy' Criticism at NFL Combine
By Dylan McCaffrey
The NFL Draft Combine is for prospects to showcase their athletic ability and potential. But don't forget they have a chance to make their voice heard in more ways than one speaking with the media, scouts and teams. Ohio State's Jeffrey Okudah made use of that, expertly handling an inaccurate assessment about his sloppy play.
"I had zero pass interferences, zero holdings. Cut the tape on that again, I think you'll see something else," said Okudah. As the top cornerback on one of the best defenses in the country, Okudah sure knows how to back up his play. He's not here for the boneheaded commentary.
Okudah is widely considered the top cornerback prospect heading into the 2020 NFL Draft, and is expected to go in the top 10 when teams start picking in April. His defense -- which featured 34 tackles, nine passes defensed and three interceptions -- was one of the main reasons Ohio State went 13-1 and made the College Football Playoff.
So, yeah, Okudah knows what he's done and knows what he's capable of. Did these critics not watch any of Ohio State's performance against Clemson? Okudah and the defense did their part (despite the loss) against one of the best offenses in the country.
