By Jerry Trotta

Ohio State's football operations may be on a temporary freeze amid the coronavirus outbreak, but that hasn't stopped head coach Ryan Day and the rest of the Buckeyes coaching staff from landing coveted recruits.
On Monday night, Evan Pryor, a 4-star running back in the 2021 class, announced his commitment to Ohio State via a truly awesome highlight montage post on Twitter.

Pryor, the No. 6-ranked RB prospect in the country according to 247Sports, becomes the ninth top-100 recruit in the Buckeyes 2021 cycle. His commitment has seen Ohio State leapfrog Clemson for the No. 1 recruiting class in the country.
The North Carolina native chose the Buckeyes over the likes of Georgia and UNC. He'll add much-needed depth to a running back committee currently at a crossroads following the Achilles injury that projected starter Master Teague suffered at a spring practice.
BOOOOOOOM!! Ryan Day isn’t letting a pandemic slow down his recruiting.

Just one day after locking in a four-star CB, Ohio State has hauled in the No. 5 running back in the nation in @evanpryor3. https://t.co/eT4hHQkbl1
Pryor's decision to call Columbus his college football home gives OSU three commitments in the month of March, which was supposed to be a dead period for recruiting thanks to the extended fallout of COVID-19.
