Ohio State Star Chase Young Thinks He’s the Best Player in the NFL Draft

When it comes to the cream of the crop in terms of defensive talent from this year's draft class, fans have to look no further than Ohio State edge rusher Chase Young, who is projected to be among the first to hear his name called on Draft Day.
While speaking to the media Thursday morning, Young shared the same sentiment that many fans, teams and scouts regarding his skill set: he's the best player in the entire 2020 NFL Draft class.
Young is extremely confident heading into the draft process. So much so, that he announced he won't participate in drills at Indianapolis along with his fellow defensemen on Saturday. Instead, he will use the time to meet and interview with prospective teams.
Ohio State has been the hotbed for elite pass rushers, most recently evidenced by brothers and NFL stars Joey and Nick Bosa. But Young has surpassed them at every level. In fact, Young broke the university's single-season sack record with 16.5 this past year while playing in just 12 games.
Throughout his three years in Columbus, Young recorded 98 total tackles (40.5 for loss), 30.5 sacks, nine forced fumbles, and eight passes defensed.
His transformation from high school to college and now the pros has been remarkable, and no one has more confidence in Young's abilities than himself.
