The Oklahoma offensive line will retain its biggest and most impactful player now that Creed Humphrey is lacing it up for one more go-around in Norman.

The Sooners center delayed his jump to the NFL for a season, as he announced that he will return to the program for his redshirt junior season.

Humphrey has been a starter for the last two seasons with the Sooners. He was the center on an offensive line that won the Joe Moore Award last year and saw the other four starters (Orlando Brown, Bobby Evans, Dru Samia, and Ben Powers) drafted in the first four rounds of the 2019 draft.

This move comes as a shock to some, as various mock draft experts had Humphrey projected as a first round selection in this year's draft.

Humphrey took the advice of Wisconsin center Tyler Biadasz, who went back to school in 2019 and is positioned to be the first interior lineman drafted in 2020. If Humphrey keeps bulking up, there is no reason why he can't further improve his draft stock by 2021.
