Oklahoma Grad Transfer WR Theo Howard Suffers Torn Achilles

The Oklahoma Sooners got a talented player this offseason when former UCLA Bruin Theo Howard joined the program as a grad transfer. The wide receiver had 677 receiving yards in 2018 and was pegged to be a great addition to Lincoln Riley's offense.
Unfortunately, just weeks after announcing his decision to transfer to Norman, reports surfaced that Howard may miss the entire 2020 season after suffering a torn Achilles.

This is just terrible news. Howard had a chance to become a star with the Sooners, but that has been put on hold for now.
Howard has one more season left of eligibility, so he will be able to return to the team when he's recovered, though it won't be until the 2021 campaign at the earliest.

Oklahoma adds UCLA grad transfer receiver Theo Howard for 2020 season: #Sooners https://t.co/GrO79I5rmD
Howard was anticipated to step in and help replace some of the production of NFL-bound CeeDee Lamb, but that won't be the case after all following the Achilles injury.
Across three seasons at UCLA, Howard started 24 games and scored nine touchdowns on 119 receptions.
