Jalen Hurts Joins Lamar Jackson and Johnny Manziel in Record Books With Performance Through 11 Games
By Mark Powell

As a college football QB, anytime you join an exclusive group featuring the likes of Lamar Jackson and Johnny Manziel, it's been a successful season.
Jalen Hurts has entered that conversation.
Against TCU on Saturday night, Hurts entered the record books, notching 3,000 yards passing to go with 1,000 yards on the ground, becoming just the third player to accomplish such a feat through 11 games.
Jalen's historic season continues ?

There was little doubt Hurts would succeed in Lincoln Riley's offense, as Oklahoma's last two signal-callers went on to become Heisman Trophy winners in Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray. Hurts has picked up where they left off.
Despite being favorites to win the Big 12 Championship, Oklahoma still needs some help should they wish to accomplish Riley and Hurts' ultimate goal of reaching the College Football Playoff -- and winning.
Jalen Hurts is now the 3rd player in major college football history with 3,000 Pass yds and 1,000 Rush yds in the first 11 games of a season, joining Lamar Jackson & Johnny Manziel.

Both Manziel and Jackson went on to win the Heisman Trophy, and Hurts is still alive for that personal accolade.
