Oklahoma Trolls Fans and Media With Fake Depth Chart Ahead of Opener
By Michael Luciano
Heading into year 3 in Norman, Lincoln Riley is giving nothing away just yet.
The media guide for Oklahoma's season-opening matchup against D'Eriq King and Houston was notably sparse due to the absence of any sort of depth chart from the Sooners. In place of the depth chart, there was simply a giant eyes emoji with a vague "Coming Soon" scrawled underneath it.
While this is pretty funny from Riley and the Sooners, the biggest position battle on the depth chart has already been decided.
Alabama transfer Jalen Hurts won the starting quarterback job following the departure of Kyler Murray, beating out redshirt freshman Tanner Mordecai and prized recruit Spencer Rattler.
There are some serious questions surrounding this Sooners team, namely how the offensive line will replace four starters and what the backfield situation will look like between Kennedy Brooks and Trey Sermon, but it appears as though we won't get any answers until the Sooners step out onto the field against Dana Holgorsen and the Cougars.
