Oklahoma WR Theo Howard Sends Message to Fans After Reports Surfaced He Tore His Achilles

Devastating news arrived for Lincoln Riley and the Oklahoma Sooners on Friday, as it was reported grad transfer wide receiver Theo Howard had suffered a torn Achilles during a winter workout.
With the loss of so many players to graduation and the NFL, Howard expected to be a major threat for the OU offense in 2020. Despite his season reportedly being in doubt, he went to Twitter to clear things up for the fans.
Appreciate all the prayers and concerns. Ill be fine and solid before the season. #GodSpeed #BoomerSooner

Those are the words of a young man who is determined to get himself back healthy for the upcoming campaign. While an Achilles injury is a major setback for him, the former UCLA wideout made it clear he's going to do everything in his power to be a playmaker once the season arrives.
Obviously, the Sooners will have to be careful with him during his rehab process. Returning too quickly from an Achilles tear simply can't happen. Howard must be at 100% before hitting the field.
