Orioles Associating Themselves With Success of Ravens and Lamar Jackson is a Serious Reach
By Jack Murphy

Minutes after Lamar Jackson was unanimously named NFL MVP, it did not take long for the Baltimore Orioles to take their opinions to Twitter.
Coming from the same city, the Orioles felt obliged to congratulate the 23-year-old MVP winner, but, uh, how do you say...this seems like a stretch?

Lamar Jackson is indeed making Baltimore proud. However, the Orioles are doing quite the opposite with their performance the past few seasons. So simply associating with the other's success is good enough...I guess. Associating themselves with the success of Lamar and the Ravens is a bold move from a baseball club that lost over 100 games in consecutive seasons.
Maybe this was just an attempt for the Orioles to gain more followers. Lamar Jackson was one of the most popular players in football this season, and deservingly so. By tweeting this out, maybe some of his fans will be interested in the Orioles.
The Orioles will do anything to get fans to actually come to their games. They were ranked among the worst in terms of attendance, which once again makes sense.

But, we’re talking about attendance. So.. yikes pic.twitter.com/s17GjWQPyR
However, I'm sure any followers the Orioles do gain from this tactic, they will surely lose once they watch an actual Orioles game.
