Aaron Rodgers Has Upsetting Revelation for Packers Fans When Speaking for First Time Since NFL Draft
By Thomas Carannante

Green Bay Packers fans really don't have to hear more about the team selecting Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft from fans, pundits and analysts anymore. Everyone already understands the gravity of it.
However, there's one man who can speak on it, and that's Aaron Rodgers, who broke his silence with the media for the first time since draft day. He had some wise things to say, but he also hit Packers fans where it hurts. He realizes he won't be finishing his career with the franchise he started with.
#Packers QB Aaron Rodgers to end our call: "There are some new factors that are out of my control. And so my sincere desire to start and finish with the same organization, just as it has with many other players over the years, may not be a reality at this point." pic.twitter.com/sZIcfOwwhk

When fans and analysts talk about the situation that will likely see A-Rod be supplanted by Love in the coming years, the possibility and likelihood of that happening just doesn't hit the same when it's coming from the man himself.
Rodgers understands the franchise is looking to the future and he can't blame them. Does he wish things went differently? It's safe to say yes, considering Green Bay was one game away from the Super Bowl and lacked another offensive weapon to get them over the hump. In a draft stacked with skill position players, general manager Brian Gutekunst and head coach Matt Flynn went with a QB with their first pick and then DID NOT select a wide receiver in any of the seven rounds.
Not live-Tweeting the Aaron Rodgers call (but @mattschneidman and @RobDemovsky are), but he has sounded very much like himself. Thoughtful, but not necessarily measured. Insists he will treat Jordan Love just as he did Matt Flynn, Scott Tolzien, Brett Hundley, Tim Boyle, etc.

So there you have it, Packers fans. Rodgers acknowledging the fact that he'll be playing elsewhere within the next couple of years is now officially a reality after hearing it from the two-time MVP directly. Embrace every moment of the 2020 season because it could be his last in Green Bay.
