Never Forget Packers WR Allen Lazard Owned Eagles CB Avonte Maddox by Pointing to the Flag on Pass Interference
The Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles faced off in Week 4 of the 2019 season, and the Eagles came out on top by a final score of 34-27.
One of the highlights of the game came in the fourth quarter with the Packers trailing by seven and threatening to score. Eagles defensive back Avonte Maddox made what he thought was a great defensive play on Packers receiver Allen Lazard, but that was not the case.
A flag flew in, and Lazard made sure to let the corner know.
This is one of the viral clips that is perfect to watch on loop during these days of quarantine. Lazard saw the flag right away and made it a point to let Maddox know he made the stop with the help of some improper behavior.
The only problem for the Packers was that following this penalty, the team failed to score on four tries and turned the ball over on downs. The four plays were all pass attempts, and had some fans wondering if head coach Matt LaFleur was right for the job.
The Eagles went on to win, but Lazard earned himself a nice viral moment. Next time, he may want to save his best celebration for an actual touchdown so no one has to go in the context of what came next in the clip, of course.
