The Green Bay Packers' strange 2020 draft was the perfect gift for sports media outlets looking for content during a lull. For a team that was one win away from reaching Super Bowl LIV, they certainly did not do much to improve their team in the short term. Taking a wide receiver in a deep NFL Draft class? Nah, they're good with just adding Devin Funchess to their lackluster receiving corps from last season.

But we're here to tell all Packers fans to put down their pitchforks and torches. General manager Brian Gutekunst can win the offseason with just one move: trading for stud wideout TY Hilton.

Do we have everyone's attention now?

Hilton is entering the final season of his five-year, $65 million with the Indianapolis Colts. As is the case with any impending free agent, there's too much uncertainty about whether a player of Hilton's magnitude would actually re-up with his team instead of exploring the open market. The writing appeared to be on the wall after the Colts drafted USC's Michael Pittman Jr. in the second round of the draft. too, so Indianapolis would be wise to listen to trade offers for Hilton's services. That's where the Packers can jump in.

Just imagine Hilton paired alongside Davante Adams and catching bombs from Aaron Rodgers? That's like a living fantasy football team. Green Bay already invested in their future in this year's NFL Draft, so they can absolutely afford to trade some draft capital for Hilton. The Packers have the leverage in a deal, too, because Hilton is coming off a season packed with career lows, and he'll hit free agency at season's end.

To get a deal done, the Packers could send a 2021 second-round pick and receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling to Indianapolis for Hilton. That would give Green Bay the offensive firepower they need to make a push to the Super Bowl, and make Rodgers happy following the Jordan Love selection.

If Gutekunst is able to pull this off, Packers fans better send him flowers, fruit baskets, and letters of apology.
