Packers Backup QB DeShone Kizer Bizarrely Claims He Envisions Winning Super Bowl MVP

Bart Starr. Joe Montana. Emmitt Smith. John Elway. Tom Brady. Peyton Manning. Aaron Rodgers.
And DeShone Kizer?
Green Bay Packers quarterback DeShone Kizer went on the record saying that he envisions himself winning Super Bowl MVP one day. I'm sure all of our reactions were the same.

We get that as a player you need to always be convinced that nobody can beat you and that you're the best, but that's the kind of motivating tool that usually stays within the boundaries of your own imagination. To go public with it? Well, then you look either pompous or delusional.
Kizer was a good quarterback at Notre Dame. He was actually slated to go first overall in some mock drafts for a while. But after being selected by the Cleveland Browns in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft, he's proven to be nothing more than a backup -- if that. Now that he's sitting behind Aaron Rodgers on the depth chart, he's embraced that role more than ever.

Aron Rodgers, is just 24-24-1 in his last 49 starts and will turn 36 years old this season
DeShone Kizer is 0-15 as a starter in his career
Kizer has the football IQ and arm strength necessary to make a name for himself in the NFL, but calling yourself a future Super Bowl MVP when you haven't won a single game as a starter seems a bit premature.
