The Green Bay Packers spent their Wednesday on the waiver wire.

According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN, the team claimed former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Tim Williams. In a corresponding move, Green Bay released tight end Evan Baylis.

However, this isn't the end of Baylis' career in Green Bay. Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports that the Packers play to re-sign Baylis to their practice squad once he clears waivers.

Williams was a 2017 third-round pick by the Ravens, and appeared in 19 games throughout his career, including all four games this season. In that span, Williams recorded 18 tackles and two sacks.

Prior to joining the Packers in 2018, Baylis was a member of the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, and Carolina Panthers after going undrafted out of Oregon in 2017.

Baylis was on Green Bay's practice squad for the first three weeks of the season before being activated for the team's Week 4 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. In that game, Baylis participated in 13 special teams snaps and one offensive snap.

The Packers hope to bring Baylis back, but that all depends on the tight end going unclaimed by the other 31 teams in the NFL.
