Packers Fan Made Mike McCarthy Toilet Paper in Aaron Jones' Honor and Jones Had an Amazing Reaction
By Scott Rogust
Mike McCarthy was initially viewed as a conquering hero for the Green Bay Packers once he was hired as head coach. But his reputation took a massive hit in his last several seasons, resulting in his firing during the 2018 campaign.
One of the main complaints McCarthy received from Packers fans surrounded his sluggish usage of stud running back Aaron Jones. The faithful knew what they had, but McCarthy failed to see his potential, and had him come off the bench.
After his dismissal, a Cheesehead decreed that he'd make a roll of toilet paper with McCarthy's face on it if Jones led the league in total touchdowns in 2019. Jones did just that by recording 19 scores, tied for the top spot, so the individual had to produce some TP.
You're looking at that correctly. That's McCarthy's likeness branded across the sheets of paper, alongside Jones' stats last season.
He got Jones' attention (by tagging him, of course), and the Packers starting running back asked for a roll.
It's important to note that Jones deleted this tweet less than a day later. However, just like many other athletes in the world have discovered, tweets may be deleted, but screen caps live forever. And if his reply proved anything, it's that he wasn't the biggest fan of the way McCarthy utilized him during his first two NFL seasons.
