Packers Get Positive Injury Update on Standout Rookie Darnell Savage
By Parker White

Green Bay Packers first round pick Darnell Savage left Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys with what looked like a devastating ankle injury.
Luckily, it seems he avoided a major injury. Per Ian Rapoport, Savage is believed to have tweaked his ankle and it's not considered to be serious.

It's unclear if the rookie safety will be available for the Packers' Week 6 matchup against the Detroit Lions, but given the game is on Monday he'll have the luxury of an additional day of rest.
He'll surely be hoping to be on the field, but expect the Packers to exercise caution with the young defensive back.
Not only is this good news for the Packers in a vacuum, but Darnell Savage will get an extra day to recover before the team takes the field again on Monday Night Football next week. https://t.co/5weqT25W5n

Losing Savage would be a huge blow for the Packers' secondary, and if he's unable to suit up then Will Redmond or Tramon Williams would likely be called upon to start in his stead.
In five games this year, Savage has tallied 18 total tackles with a fumble recovery and interception.
