Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur Trolls Brother and 49ers Assistant Mike Ahead of Clash With San Fran
By Scott Rogust
The Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers will meet for the second time this season, but the stakes are much higher for the encore. Both teams will fight for a spot in Super Bowl LIV.
It's not just the NFC Championship Game either, of course. It's also the "LaFleur Bowl."
Ahead of the big game, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur hinted that he may not talk to his brother Mike, the 49ers' passing game coordinator, throughout the week.
You know you're in the midst of a serious competition if you won't even talk to your brother, despite standing on the opposing sideline. In fact, Matt won't even stay at Mike's house for his second visit to Santa Clara.
When asking about his brother's success coaching up San Francisco's passing attack, Matt jokingly continued, saying he doesn't see Mike as a "great coach."
Shots fired.
We shall see who has the last laugh on Sunday evening. The LaFleur brothers aren't messing around, and don't want to risk potentially leaking game plans to one another. Regardless, one member of the LaFleur family will have the opportunity to compete for football's most prestigious prize: the Lombardi Trophy.
