Packers LB Preston Smith Takes Shot at Redskins Ahead of Week 14 Matchup
By Jerry Trotta

The matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Washington Redskins might not appear intriguing on paper, but the clash does feature a neat little nugget that fans and viewers should keep an eye on.
Packers star linebacker Preston Smith will be going up against the team that drafted him in the second round (No.38 overall) out of Mississippi State back in the 2015 NFL Draft.
Ahead of the his nostalgic afternoon, Smith asserted that he holds no grudges against the Redskins. Those alleged feelings, however, didn't exactly hold him back from taking a blatant shot at the organization's notorious ineptitude.
#Packers LB Preston Smith told me he has no hard feelings against his old team. But when it comes to all the drama in Washington? “Sometimes the ship sinks, and you’re glad you got off.” @nflnetwork @NFLGameDay pic.twitter.com/5f7yyqDM2U

Essentially, Smith is saying that he is eternally grateful for the Packers saving him from the incompetent clutches of Dan Snyder and Bruce Allen, who, time and time again, prove they have no business running a football team.
Of course, Green Bay freed Smith from NFL limbo in March when they signed him as a free agent to a four-year deal worth $52 million.
I don't think the #Redskins should regret letting Preston Smith go. I do think they should look at him, though, and seriously wonder why they weren't able to get more out of him while he was here https://t.co/FguHYh1eOH

The "revenge game" narrative will be as lively as ever for Smith on Sunday, so it would only be fitting that he stuffs the stat sheet and terrorizes Dwayne Haskins all afternoon.
