Packers' OL Cole Madison Reportedly Out for Season After Tearing ACL in Practice
By Michael Luciano

Just days before they take on the San Francisco 49ers, the Green Bay Packers lost some valuable offensive line depth.
Former fifth-round pick Cole Madison tore his ACL in practice this week, and Packers head coach Matt Lafleur reportedly ruled him out for the rest of the season.

Madison was selected in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL draft out of Washington State, where he was named a All-Conference performer at right tackle. Madison didn't play his rookie year after he left the team for his own mental health. The suicide of former Washington State quarterback Tyler Hilinski, who was a close friend of Madison's, is often cited as the reason he stepped away.
Madison was considered to be a valuable depth piece should Bryan Bulaga and/or David Bakhtiari get injured, but he has yet to get on the field in a Packers uniform.
Tough break for Cole Madison, who came back to make the team this year after sitting out his whole rookie year to work on his mental health. He's going to need knee surgery after getting hurt in practice yesterday.
