Packers Players Rightfully Call Out Texans Safety Lonnie Johnson After Distasteful Instagram Post

From the surface, joint practices at training camp seem like a good idea. And we would agree. The idea of two teams sharing a practice facility for one final tune-up for the regular season is genuinely captivating.

However, this is football we are talking about, folks. Two teams running through drills together is bound to go wrong. That's exactly what happened during Monday's session featuring the Houston Texans and Green Bay Packers.

Bill O'Brien was forced to remove his rookie cornerback Lonnie Johnson Jr from the action the second-round pick issued a series of immense hits on Packers players during a non-tackling walk-through.

At one point, Johnson LEVELED Green Bay tight end Jace Sternberger and flexed on him as the TE laid on the turf grimacing in pain. To take his antics a step further, however, the DB took to Instagram after the practice to post that exact scene.

There's really no wonder a brief scuffle broke out between both sides. You better believe Davante Adams was among the Green Bay players upset with how Johnson acted.

“You’ve got plenty of time for that," Adams told ESPN. "You can do it in the games and you get fined. Be a coward when you do stuff like that in practice, it’s not a good look. We take care of each other up here. I don’t know how they practice, I don’t know what they do over there, but there’s consequences for stuff like that."

We couldn't have said it better ourselves, Davante.

While we (marginally) understand that Johnson is hoping to earn a spot on the Texans DB depth chart, this is just unacceptable.

We'd advise the young corner to have his head on a swivel during Tuesday's practice. A Cheesehead retaliation might just be headed his direction.
