Packers Promote Running Back to Active Roster With Jamaal Williams Ruled Out
By Thomas Carannante

The Green Bay Packers knew they'd be without running back Jamaal Williams in Week 5 after he took a nasty helmet-to-helmet hit, so they had to prepare for an emergency situation with just Aaron Jones and Dexter Williams in the backfield.
They've promoted Tra Carson from the practice squad to join the RBs room.

The former Texas A&M back has limited experience in the NFL, but logged four games with the Packers last season, so there's some familiarity there.
However, the team is operating under a completely different offense with head coach Matt LaFleur's leadership. There's a lot of inexperience, especially with Dexter Williams being a rookie, so Packers fans can expect Aaron Jones to carry the load against the Dallas Cowboys.

The silver lining here is that Carson rushed for 1,165 yards in his final season with the Aggies, though that came back in 2015, so we'll see what happens with the Pack's running game against Dallas.
