JK Scott has gotten off to a strong start in his second year as the punter for the Green Bay Packers, but he may very well be too flexible for his own good.

The 22-year-old and former fifth-round draft pick revealed that he actually gave himself a bloody nose after kneeing himself in the face on a punt.

"That's definitely one of my priorities," he said while discussing his flexibility. But sometimes too much range of motion can be a bad thing. Scott provided a personal anecdote of how things can go awry, saying "One time I gave myself a bloody nose...because I hit myself with my knee."

Ah, yes. This is the danger of punting without a helmet. Give it too much power and you only end up hurting yourself.

Of course, all of that flexibility came in handy for Scott in the Packers' season-opening game against the Chicago Bears. He punted a staggering nine times to open up the season, the most of any punter in Week 1.

So let Scott's past experience be a cautionary tale to punters everywhere to never boot the ball without a helmet. Otherwise, it could quite literally lead to some bloody consequences.
