With the NFL Supplemental Draft just one day away, teams around the league are doing their due diligence on the potential prospects. Washington State safety Jalen Thompson is considered to be one the most likely picks in the draft.

A number of teams have expressed interest in the Washington State product, as representatives from 26 teams were present for his workout in Los Angeles on Monday. Among those teams was the Green Bay Packers, who've been reported to have interest in Thompson and brought him in for a physical on Tuesday.

During Thompson's three-year college career, he amassed 190 total tackles to go along with 17 pass deflections and six interceptions. If the Packers decide to draft him in the supplemental draft, they'll be forced to forego that round's pick in the 2020 draft.

The Packers already bolstered their secondary this offseason, both through the draft and free agency. Unless the team believes Thompson can make a real difference, spending a supplemental pick on him may not be the smartest move considering they'll lose a pick next year.

But if he's impressed them enough for the team to take a chance on him, then he must really have caught scouts eyes.

It'll be interesting to see what the Pack decide to do here. But the fact that they brought Thompson in for a physical entails they have some real interest in his services, so we'll have to see if they follow through with it on Wednesday.
