Packers Reportedly Trade Speedy WR and Return Man Trevor Davis to Raiders
By Adam Weinrib

We're not certain why the Packers would turn around and deal a weapon to Jon Gruden's squad, but it seems Green Bay has helped fill the AB vacancy a little bit.
Already wealthy in the slot with Hunter Renfrow, the Raiders are reportedly bringing in Trevor Davis, a killer speed demon, plundering from the Pack's store of talent.
Source: #Packers traded WR/Returner Trevor Davis to the #Raiders. Davis is a 4.3 speed WR and one of the League’s top punt & kick returners who should have an immediate opportunity to compete at WR.

Davis has only been targeted once in the passing game this year, hauling that one in for 28 yards, but his typical impact comes on special teams, entrusted with the Packers' return duties.
Since being drafted in the fifth round in 2016 out of Cal, Davis has hauled in a grand total of 1,240 return yards, dwarfing his other impact on the field.
The Packers must really believe in Darrius Shepherd's ability to contribute. He'll take over for Trevor Davis as the main returner and, presumably, see more time in the offense. https://t.co/xYaj64Afi1

Though he's beloved by Packer Nation, Davis' impact hasn't quite translated from training camp superstar to regular season stalwart, and in some corners, he's more known for a 2018 incident during which he "joked" about having a bomb at an airport.
We suspect there'll be no more of that under Gruden's regime.
