Packers Rookie Rashan Gary Helped off the Field With Injury Late Against Giants
By Michael Luciano
The Green Bay Packers just finished torching the New York Giants 31-13 at MetLife Stadium, but it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows in the Packers' locker room after the game. One of their best young defenders needed to be helped off of the field with an injury.
Former Michigan defensive end Rashan Gary, who has 12 tackles and one sack in his first pro season, got hurt in the waning seconds of the win.
Gary has struggled to cement a role for himself this season, as he has switched between defensive tackle and edge rusher with mixed results. Still, losing him would be a serious blow to Green Bay's defensive depth.
Gary's rookie season hasn't been what many expected of him, but it's been a year of transition on the defensive side of the ball for Green Bay, so he shouldn't fully be at fault.
Hopefully this is nothing more than a minor knock, and he'll be good to go for next week against the Redskins.
