Packers sign CB Jaire Alexander to monster new deal

While the Green Bay Packers made plenty of headlines when they signed Aaron Rodgers to his multi-year deal, general manager Brian Gutekunst went ahead and got a big new deal done on defense this week.
Per a report, Green Bay signed stud cornerback Jaire Alexander to a four-year deal worth more than $80 million. This is a major payday for Alexander and one that's been coming for a while.
Packers and Pro-Bowl CB Jaire Alexander are finalizing a 4-year, $84 million contract extension, per source. Deal includes $31 million in 2022 - a DB record of $30 million in signing bonus. Alexander will receive $42.5M by March. @JohnThornton of @RocNationSports confirmed deal.

Alexander is the heart of the secondary and he'll be ready to keep rocking with this team for the future. There's high expectations for the Packers and Alexander heading into the 2022 campaign.
