The Green Bay Packers are bringing in some blocking help in the backfield.

After suffering injuries to two fullbacks (yes, they have two fullbacks on their roster) in Danny Vitale and Malcolm Johnson, the team signed former Jets and Jaguars back Tommy Bohanon.

Bohanon is not much of an offensive playmaker, as he's rushed for just 72 yards and caught 29 passes for 239 yards in his six-year NFL career, but he brings some value as a traditional blocking fullback. Given the Packers' roster construction, it's pretty clear that they'd like to incorporate the position into their offense in some capacity, even as some teams are ditching it completely.

Bohanon, 28, spent three years with the Jets before being released in 2016, and he did not find a team until signing with the Jaguars in advance of the 2017 season. The Jaguars elected not to re-sign him this offseason.

Between Bohanon and the injured Vitale, the Packers sport some serious muscle in their backfield.
