Packers Star Aaron Jones Suffered Shoulder Injury But Was Able to Return to the Game
By Scott Rogust
The Green Bay Packers may have to continue through Sunday Night Football without one of their stars on offense.
During the second quarter of Green Bay's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, starting running back Aaron Jones went to the locker room with a shoulder injury. He was considered questionable to return, but ultimately fought his way back out onto the field in the second half.
Jones made an immediate impact for Green Bay on Sunday, as he scored a touchdown on the opening drive of the game, putting the Packers on top early.
Overall, Jones rushed for 21 yards on just four carries, while also catching 4-of-5 targets for 73 yards.
The Packers had Jamaal Williams take over for the time being, who scored the team's second touchdown of the game with a goal-line rush up the middle in the first quarter. Jones' return will slot him back into the RB1 slot.
Jones has proven his capability as a lead back this season so the Packers will be grateful that his injury wasn't serious enough to sideline him for more than a few possessions.
