Packers' Update on Davante Adams Suggests He Could Play Against Chiefs
By Scott Rogust

The Green Bay Packers' passing game took a hit in Week 4 after wide receiver Davante Adams suffered the dreaded turf toe injury. Initially, the belief was the injury was minor, but Adams stressed prior to Week 6 that he had no idea when he'd return.
There appears to be some progress in Adams' recovery.
Adams was spotted stretching during Green Bay's practice on Wednesday, where head coach Matt LaFleur said his status for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs "could go right up to game time."
Davante Adams was seen before practice with several pairs of shoes. Did he find a pair he likes when he went inside the Hutson Center?

Stretching was all Adams did during practice, as he was the only Green Bay player listed as a non-participant in the team's full injury report.

Turf toe is a tricky injury for a receiver to recover from, as it hinders their ability to plant their feet and run routes effectively.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers knows this, as he told the media following practice that Adams is pushing hard to return, but he wants his No. 1 receiver to be 100% recovered before taking the field again.

In four games this season, Adams has caught 25-of-36 targets for 378 yards, but has yet to record a TD.
The Packers appear to be doing just fine without Adams, as Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Geronimo Allison and the emerging Allen Lazard are stepping up big time.
There's no need to rush Adams back to the gridiron until he's fully healthy, but it appears he's heading in the right direction.
