Packers Veterans Warning Teammates to Save Money in the Event of a Lockout
By Kevin Aquino

It's always good to be prepared, and with a potential lockout looming after the 2020 NFL season, Green Bay Packers veterans want their teammates to be financially ready.
The NFL Players Association already issued a work stoppage guidebook in anticipation of such an event, though the league and the NFLPA continue to work toward a collective bargaining agreement. That won't stop some from looking to be prudent.
Key phrase is “at least a year.”

NFLPA Sends Lockout Warning: Exec Director of the players’ union emails agents to advise players ‘to plan for a work stoppage of at least a year’https://t.co/j9gSg0wJVg
"Listen. Get two years of good money. Just save it," Packers right tackle Bryan Bulaga told NBCSports. "That’s the best I can tell them. Some guys listen. Some don’t."
Team representative and Green Bay legend Aaron Rodgers also said, "There’s a lot of things to be discussed. There’s some stuff that we need to make right for the next CBA."
Fans and players alike are bracing for the worst, and even if a new CBA is agreed upon prior to the 2020 season and a lockout doesn't occur, at least those who planned accordingly will be in a much better place financially.

We still have this season -- which is in its infancy -- and the entirety of next year before the current CBA expires, giving both sides a good amount of time to prevent another lockout from occurring.
