Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have been desperate to find a No. 2 receiver to take some of the heat off of Davante Adams, and the closest thing to a quality No. 2 they currently have on the roster is Allen Lazard, who had 477 yards and three touchdowns last season. Lazard was on NFL Network this morning, and spoke at length about how being around the receiving savant that Adams is has helped him improve the little things in his game, like footwork and body control.

Lazard, a 6-5, 227 pound receiver who dominated in college at Iowa State, was one of the more surprising undrafted free agents in recent memory. One of the main concerns was that Lazard was a pretty raw wide receiver who lacked tremendous technique, but a few weeks with Adams appear to have remedied that.

Lazard, who earned praise from Rodgers himself, figures to have in increased role with Green Bay next season, especially as the rest of the receiving corps lies in flux.

The Packers will almost certainly add a receiver or two next season, but Lazard has turned out to be quite the find. If he keeps improving, he might finally become the Robin to Adams' Batman that he's always been looking for.
