After dropping game-one of their series against the Chicago Cubs (53-44) by just one run, the San Diego Padres (46-51) will look to bounce back in Game 2 on Saturday and even the series up.

Cubs Lineup Today

As for the Cubs lineup, catcher Victor Caratini will be back in the lineup after Martin Maldonado started behind the plate on Friday, as the two have split time there in the absence of Wilson Contreas. Robel Garcia will play in left field for this contest as well, taking over for Jason Heyward as he's scheduled to sit out. Kyle Schwarber also has the night off with Albert Almora Jr. commanding the leadoff spot.

Lefty Jose Quintana will be on the mound for Chicago on Saturday. He picked up a win his last start on Sunday, where he only allowed three runs in six innings. He's logged a 7-7 record with a 4.21 ERA on the season.

Padres Lineup Today

Scorching hot Fernando Tatis Jr. is back in the leadoff spot for Saturday's clash, followed by Manuel Margot, Manny Machado and Hunter Renfroe. Eric Hosmer is bumped down to sixth in the order, and Luis Urías, recently recalled to the big leagues, will hit seventh and play second base in the affair.

Lefty Joey Lucchesi will take the mound for San Diego on Saturday. He's been having a stellar season in 2019, posting a 7-4 record with a 3.92 ERA and 96 strikeouts.

As for the bats of San Diego, they've struggled to find consistency in the batter's box all season, accumulating just 429 runs, good for 25th best in the MLB. They fell just one run short in Friday's contest against the Cubs, so they'll undoubtedly try to redeem themselves in game-two.
