The Los Angeles Dodgers (28-16) won a close matchup in the first game of their quick two-game series against the San Diego Padres (22-20), and they'll look to close it out and extend their NL West lead.

Padres Lineup
San Diego brings their big guns tonight.
Left-hander Matt Strahm has been a solid piece in the Padres rotation, and in seven starts he's 1-2 with a 3.00 ERA and has 34 strikeouts over 39 innings. In his last start against the Mets, Strahm went 6.1 innings and allowed just two runs on six hits with seven strikeouts. He's been much better on the road, posting a 2.05 ERA over four starts.
Dodgers Lineup
Kike Hernández is leading off for the Dodgers on Wednesday, with Justin Turner and Cody Bellinger following suit. David Freese is in the lineup today and hitting cleanup.
Los Angeles will turn to veteran right-hander Kenta Maeda, who in eight starts has a 4-2 record with a 4.03 ERA with 40 strikeouts over 44.2 innings. Maeda is coming off a brilliant performance against the Nationals where he threw six shutout innings and struck out six batters.
