By Thomas Carannante

The second week of NFL action isn't off to a promising start.
Thursday night's game between the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers has been delayed due to lightning in the Charlote area...and that came right after the Panthers challenged the spot of the ball on third down and lost.

This will be at least a 30-minute delay, but expect it to be more due to the heavy rain. They're evacuating the field.

Fans were also seen leaving their seats, likely to get shelter inside the stadium.
Stay tuned for more updates, but for now you might want to tune in to some baseball. It could be a while.
