Panthers S Eric Reid Paid His Lawyers to Read the CBA and Outed NFL Owners for How Bad it Truly is for the Players

Carolina Panthers safety Eric Reid is one of many NFL players who want to turn down the new proposed CBA between the NFL owners and players.

Reid went the extra step, though, and had his lawyers read through the proposed agreement. His two lawyers summarized why players should say no to it, allowing Reid to then post the summary on Twitter. He pleaded with his fellow NFLers to say no and also saw an opportunity to raise awareness about the greed the owners are showing with this offer.

The lawyers wrote about how the extra regular season and playoff games would increase risk of injury, making sure owners won't have to fork over more money to the players. They also wrote about how there is no opt-out clause, forcing the NFLPA to be subject to the new CBA for 10 years if they agree to it.

This CBA has been defended through the idea of increased minimum salary, which his lawyers argued will just be negated through split contracts.

Thanks to Reid, seeing how truly corrupt the owners are in trying to manipulate the CBA for their advantage is now much easier for fans. It's time for players to vote no.
