Pascal Siakam's performance in the first game of the NBA Finals last night was truly one of the best all around games an NBA player has had in a finals debut.

Due to Siakam's outstanding game and the Raptors taking Game 1 over the Warriors, the forward's odds of winning Finals MVP have skyrocketed.

Perhaps the Warriors were a little too focused on Kawhi Leonard, as they forgot all about the Raptors' breakout star in Spicy P.

Siakam simply put on a show in Game 1, dropping 32 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal. And he went 14-for-17 from the field and converted on 11 straight shots during an incredible run.

As a result of his domination in the series opener, Siakam's Finals MVP odds went from +6,000 to +850 overnight. That's a monumental leap.

The Raptors forward also put himself in some elite company with his 32 points. In the past 30 years, there have only been four other players who have scored more points in their first NBA finals game; Allen Iverson, Michael Jordan, Kevin Durant, and Tim Duncan.

Siakam lifted the Raptors to their first finals victory in franchise history, and the Warriors didn't seem to have an answer for the 25-year-old. It's not shocking that his odds for series MVP shot up overnight.

Anyone who threw down some money on Siakam taking the Finals MVP prior to the series starting must be feeling a lot more confident in that bet, though there's still a long way to go in the series.
