When you consider that Patrick Mahomes passes every test from a quarterbacking perspective -- arm strength, accuracy, decision-making, and mobility, to name a few -- you'll find it laborious to try and compare him to gunslingers that graced the NFL before him. Well, we've stumbled across a bizarre side-by-side highlight compilation of Mahomes and one Brett Favre, and the parallels between the two QB's is truly a sight to behold.

From an improbable completion via a last ditch toss to avoid a sack, to their unrelenting pursuit of keeping plays alive by running for miles only to throw across their bodies into the end zone, to their deep ball accuracy, and even the celebration (!), the games of Mahomes and Favre are almost indistinguishable.

Ironically enough, Favre has already declared his fandom for the Kansas City Chiefs' young phenom.

Mahomes appears to have all of Favre's former tools in his bag of tricks. More importantly, however, he doesn't turn the ball over nearly as often as the Hall of Famer.

It's just daunting to think what Mahomes could accomplish in his NFL career if he's able to remain healthy. He's only 24 years old and has just two full seasons under his belt.
