Patrick Mahomes' Girlfriend Brittany Matthews Reveals Patriots Fans Treated Her Poorly in Foxborough
By Jerry Trotta
It's largely understood throughout the NFL landscape that the New England Patriots flaunt one of the most distinct home field advantages in the league.
After all, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs snapped their 21-game win streak (!) at Gillette Stadium on Sunday. Simply put, it was a massive win for the reigning MVP. However, the good vibes probably didn't last very long.
Mahomes' longtime girlfriend, Brittany Matthews, took to Twitter on several occasions during the game to state her frustrations with the hostile New England crowd.
That, apparently, was just the beginning of a long afternoon for Matthews. She continued to claim that she was jeered each time she stood up to cheer for Mahomes and the Chiefs.
KC fan or not, that sure sounds like some unfair treatment that warranted security to intervene in some manner.
Unfortunately for Matthews, security didn't show (yet). Instead, that same group of hecklers were quick to assert that they themselves would call security to get her kicked out of the stadium if she continued to stand up and support her partner.
Eventually, and perhaps a little too late, security was called and Matthews and her group of supporters were escorted to a more hospitable section of seats.
In the end, Matthews got the last laugh as the Chiefs escaped with a win but you can bet your bottom dollar that she will take serious precautions should Kansas City be slated to meet the Pats in Foxborough in the playoffs.
