VIDEO: Patrick Mahomes Admits He Didn't Figure Out How to Read Defenses Until Last Season and the NFL is Doomed
By Sean Facey

If the NFL thought they had seen the best that Patrick Mahomes had to give over the past two seasons, then they're in for an extremely rude awakening. The superstar Kansas City Chiefs quarterback revealed that he didn't actually figure out how to diagnose defenses until his 2019 campaign. Seriously?
Bad news for the rest of the NFL: Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes said he didn’t learn how to read defenses until halfway through last season. More on Saturday’s The Shop: Uninterrupted on HBO. https://t.co/h3kL9ocpLC

"I didn't understand how to read defense until halfway through last year," said the Super Bowl MVP. "I was just playing."
If he seriously managed to log 9,462 yards and 76 touchdowns across 31 career games by "just playing", then the rest of the league might as well just pack their bags and go home for the next few years.
Patrick Mahomes used to play safety before switching to QB in his junior year of HS.

He just learned how to read defenses last year.
Already has a league MVP and Super Bowl MVP.
A seasoned Mahomes is a scary sight. ?

Mahomes is already one of the most electrifying players in the league. He has an uncanny ability to extend plays well beyond their intended duration, and he has an absolute cannon of an arm.
Now that he has the ability to break down what the defense is giving him, it seems safe to say that nobody stands a chance of stopping him and the Chiefs' offense.
