Patrick Mahomes is Apparently Lobbying for Behind-the-Back Passes to Be Instilled in Andy Reid's Playbook
By Jerry Trotta

Thinking about what the future holds for Patrick Mahomes is hallucinatory to say the least.
Through just 35 career games in his young NFL career, the Kansas City Chiefs phenom already has a Super Bowl victory and an MVP to his name, all while blowing the minds of analysts and fans with his arm strength, accuracy, mobility, and intellect.
In sum, Mahomes has just started to scratch the surface of his superhuman potential, and the 24-year-old might soon introduce the world to another seemingly impossible football move: behind-the-back passes.

Chiefs backup QB Chad Henne claimed that Mahomes frequently throws behind-the-back passes during practice. Other Chiefs players have reportedly confirmed Mahomes' capability to make accurate behind-the-back throws, describing it as "jaw-dropping."
Only Mahomes would actually campaign for behind-the-back passes to be injected into Andy Reid's already-meticulous playbook. Still, it's not like Mahomes is looking to use the trick pass to throw a deep ball. Rather, he thinks it could be implemented as an option fake.

Who knows if we'll ever see it. But if there's one coaching-quarterback marriage in the NFL that we could picturing going through with such a bold tactic, even if just once, it's absolutely Reid and Mahomes.
The 2020 season really can't come soon enough.
