Patriots and Tom Brady Reportedly Not Working on New Deal
By Charles Nason

About to enter his 20th NFL season, Tom Brady will experience something he rarely has throughout his entire decorated career: insecurity.
For the first time, Brady will enter a contract year. That means that he is on the last year of his current deal with no new deal on the horizon. As he is set to turn 42 in August, Brady likely won't sign a new contract with the Patriots any time soon.

Don't panic, Patriots fans. But a new contract reportedly isn't "on the horizon" -- yet. https://t.co/2tYWlzA6Ot pic.twitter.com/SzGqPpahcW
Brady will go down as one of the, if not the, best quarterback in league history. With six Super Bowl titles under his belt and the end of his career likely around the corner (at some point...right?!), Brady probably isn't expecting anything more than a one-year deal extension with New England.
Although there aren't any current contract talks between Brady and the Patriots, we still aren't likely to see a free agent version of the veteran quarterback.
With the tremendous relationship between Brady and the Pats, there really isn't any doubt that Brady will finish his career with this franchise, in perpetuity.

Who knows how long the legend of Tom Brady can go on for. He's shocked plenty of doubters by carrying his career into a 20th year. The Patriots are notorious for getting deals done late in the season, and Brady's new deal could follow that same pattern.
For now, however, Brady and the Patriots are focusing on the season ahead of them instead of getting their beloved quarterback a new contract.
