Patriots Clearly Aren't Visiting the White House to Celebrate Super Bowl Title
By Brian Cass

Ever since Donald Trump has taken office, the annual White House visit that every championship team takes has become much less of an event. For the most part, teams have shied away from taking part in the festivities due the constant controversy surrounding the president.
It appears the New England Patriots may be next in line to decline the White House visit, as the team has yet to make the trip to DC with training camp just about a month away.

Usually, the Super Bowl champions make their visit to the White House for the ceremony around April or May. The Pats have made multiple visits over the past two decades, with one visit coming in May and the other four in April.
There are a multitude of reasons for the Pats not to visit Trump. Although he and owner Robert Kraft have had a good relationship over the years, traveling to the nation's capital with a plethora of members from the press present following Kraft's alleged prostitution scandal probably isn't in the Patriots owner's best interest.

The Patriots visited Trump after their championship in 2016, but it seems like it's a no-go this time around given the multitude of circumstances. Plus, you know Tom Brady takes as much time off once the season ends, so did we really expect him to rally the troops to go to DC?
