Patriots Get Positive Injury Update on Wideout Phillip Dorsett
By Kevin Aquino

The Patriots can breathe a sigh of relief when it comes to receiver Phillip Dorsett, who suffered a hamstring injury in the first quarter against the Redskins.
Dorsett's injury is considered to be minor and the fifth-year receiver will be put on a week-to-week timetable. While his availability for this Thursday's game against the Giants is in jeopardy, we could see Dorsett back by Oct. 21 when New England takes on the Jets during NFL Week 7.
The strained hamstring injury that Patriots’ WR Phillip Dorsett suffered during Sunday’s first quarter is considered “minor”, per source. Dorsett likely to be week to week.

Through the Patriots' undefeated start, Dorsett has gone for 197 receiving yards to go along with 15 receptions and three touchdowns. Behind Josh Gordon and Julian Edelman, the 26-year-old WR has a bigger role than he had when Antonio Brown was still on the roster.
Dorsett has the same amount of touchdowns through five games than he had throughout all of last year's regular season, and although his injury is considered minor, he shouldn't rush to get back onto the field.
Patriots WR Phillip Dorsett added "II" to his jersey this year to pay respect to his dad and avoid any confusion about being the son of Cowboys legend Tony Dorsett.

New England's schedule doesn't really ramp up until they face the Ravens in November, giving Dorsett nearly a month to nurse his hamstring, if need be.
