Patriots Haters Can Watch Them Blow Their 18-0 Record in the Super Bowl vs Giants on Sunday
By Jerry Trotta
Has anybody else been rewatching past sporting fixtures to pass the time during quarantine? If you have, you are in for a real treat this weekend.
New York Giants fans and New England Patriots' haters will be in unison on Sunday because FOX is scheduled to re-air Super Bowl XLII at 3 p.m. ET. Of course, the Giants went on to crush New England's hopes at completing the ultimate undefeated campaign in thrilling fashion.
This is as good as it gets for football fans. Super Bowl XLII has gone down in history as one of the most iconic games in NFL history, and understandably so.
The slugfest was capped by arguably the greatest play in Super Bowl history when Giants quarterback Eli Manning, on third down with about one minute remaining in the fourth quarter, eluded a wave of Patriots pass rushers and miraculously found wide receiver David Tyree, who managed to pin the pigskin to his helmet.
That impossible catch set up Manning's game-winning touchdown heave to wideout Plaxico Burress with just over 30 seconds remaining in regulation.
Just typing this out is getting us excited, and you can bet that we'll be tuned into FOX on late Sunday afternoon. We suggest you do the same.
