Patriots Hire Former Rams Coach Jedd Fisch
By Karl Rasmussen
The New England Patriots are in the unfamiliar territory of having an offseason in January. While usually the team would be gearing up for a Super Bowl, instead the Patriots find themselves making changes to the coaching staff.
The Patriots hired former Rams' offensive assistant Jedd Fisch to the coaching staff, though his role has yet to be announced.
Fisch spent the 2019 season as the assistant offensive coordinator for the Rams, and has been with the team since 2018. Prior to that he was the offensive coordinator at UCLA for the 2017 campaign.
This is a big hire for the Patriots, regardless of what role he assumes within the organization. Fisch has a plethora of NFL experience, previously having been employed as the Jaguars' offensive coordinator.
He also spent time as a coach for the Seahawks, Broncos, Ravens and Texans.
Fisch will look to help fine tune New England's offense and bring them back to the Super Bowl in 2020.
