Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen suffered a brutal, unnecessary helmet-to-helmet hit by New England Patriots defensive back Jonathan Jones, which ended up landing him in the concussion protocol.

To make matters worse, Jones avoided a fine for that hit, which was clearly illegal.

How is this allowed?

Isn't the NFL all about safety and protecting its quarterbacks? There was helmet-to-helmet action there for sure, despite the fact Jones turned his shoulder at the last second in an attempt to avoid it.

Luckily Allen has cleared concussion protocol and is expected to play on Sunday. You hope that had no impact on the NFL's ruling. Whether it was malicious or not, Jones did knock Allen in the head and forced him out of a game the Bills could've very much won if he was available.

Chalk this up as another unnecessary victory for the Patriots since they have the NFL in their back pocket. Bills fans should be furious the league allowed their QB to be put in this kind of danger with no repercussions.
