Julian Edelman Won't Face Charges for Bizarre Car-Jumping Arrest in Beverly Hills
By Jerry Trotta

Back in January, New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman was arrested and charged with misdemeanor vandalism after, while allegedly intoxicated, jumping on the hood of a Mercedes in Beverly Hills.
The 33-year-old veteran was released shortly after being cited, and now, more than three months later, the Los Angeles County District Court has finally come to a decision.
Per ESPN insider Mike Reiss, Edelman won't face any charges related to the incident.
News story: Julian Edelman won't be prosecuted after misdemeanor vandalism arrest. "The owner of the vehicle said he has been fully compensated for the repair costs ... case filing declined in the interests of justice." (1st reported by @TMZ_Sports) https://t.co/ppwX5d5ebi

The report claims that Edelman was scheduled to appear at Airport Courthouse on April 13. However, the three-time Super Bowl champ predictably complied and forked over the necessary money to repair the damages he caused to the vehicle.
This was always the expected outcome. The January report alleged that Edelman could walk away unscathed if he managed to clear the air with the vehicle's owner, and the former Kent State star has done just that.

Edelman should consider this a stern reality check. Drunken escapades don't often result in folks getting off scot-free. Next time, and we hope there isn't one, he might not be so fortunate.
