Patriots Make Corresponding Roster Move in Anticipation of Antonio Brown Officially Joining Team
By Thomas Carannante

Because of one of the most unexpected turns of events in recent NFL history, two members of the New England Patriots are losing their jobs.
As they prepare for Antonio Brown to join the team, the Pats have released both Obi Melfonwu and Lance Kendricks.

Kendricks was suspended for Week 1 and was intended to be activated this week, which left the Pats no choice but to move on from more than just a single player.
Melifonwu was a former second-round draft pick of the Oakland Raiders, with New England scooping him up in November of last year. Kendricks, also a former second-round pick of the Rams, had yet to even suit up for the Patriots after spending his last two seasons in Green Bay.
Now, Brown joins a powerhouse squad with an even scarier wide receiving corps.

There you have it. The Pats get a superstar wide receiver in exchange for two replacement-level players. All in a day's work for the defending Super Bowl champs.
