Now's the Perfect Time for Patriots to Trade for Odell Beckham Jr.
By Jerry Trotta
Heading into the NFL's new league year, which begins on March 18, it's largely expected that the New England Patriots will seek out more dynamic weapons on offense.
The Patriots will obviously need to press the issue in order to boost their chances at convincing Tom Brady to return. Since the wide receiver depth in free agency isn't that desirable, outside of the oft-injured AJ Green, the team could look to trade for a star pass catcher.
Well, lucky for them, a man by the name of Odell Beckham Jr. is STILL unhappy.
For both parties, it's a match made in heaven.
New England reportedly pursued Beckham last offseason when the New York Giants first made him available via trade. Sure, you could say that was before the LSU product signed a mammoth extension, and Bill Belichick may loathe paying a wideout $14 million per year, but like we said before: the Patriots are desperate.
The future in Cleveland is anything but bright. and Odell genuinely looked miserable operating under signal caller Baker Mayfield, who regressed tremendously in Year 2.
Beckham and Brady are clearly fond of one another, and the former keeps seeking out the latter, hinting at a potential marriage in Foxborough. There's simply never been a better time for the two superstars to tie the knot and get the Patriots back to championship contention.
